Overview
Your Complete Guide to Engineer Toolkit
The tools you will use every day: the Linux system, the shell with permissions and pipes, the Emacs and vi text editors, the VS Code cloud environment, and using an AI assistant wisely. Each part explains the idea from the ground up, with original diagrams, examples and review flashcards.
Each part opens with the prerequisites, then the concepts, then a figure that shows the idea, then a worked example. Read the parts in order, because each builds on the one before.
Each part ends with multiple-choice questions, flashcards you flip by clicking, and “check your understanding” questions with hidden answers. Use them before you say “I get it”.
Do not leave a part before its exercise passes. Reading proves nothing on its own; the exercise does.

The Engineer Toolkit Overview
The parts are ordered so each rests on the one before: understand the system, move around it, control files and chain commands, learn the editors, graduate to an integrated environment, and finally learn to use the assistant without losing your own skill.
