About Darb
Darb is a free, Arabic-first platform that takes you from your first terminal command to system design and AI, in ordered steps with code you run yourself.
Last updated: October 2026Why Darb?
Most good technical material is in English, and what exists in Arabic is scattered without a clear order. Darb is one clear path: every lesson builds on the one before, and every example runs and can be edited inside the page.
What is in it?
- Four roadmaps, software engineering, AI, networking and cybersecurity, split into stages, tracks and lessons.
- Code that runs inside the lesson: Python, C, SQL, the shell, git and JavaScript.
- Exercises graded automatically by tests, with hints in steps.
- Spaced review that brings back what you learned before you forget it, and a tutor that answers from the lessons themselves.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every lesson, exercise and the tutor are free, with no card and no subscription. An account only keeps your progress; you can read lessons and run code without one.
Who is it for?
Anyone serious about getting into programming: a university student, someone changing careers, or a developer strengthening the basics. No experience needed; start at the first stage.
Who is behind it?
Darb is built by Muath Al-Mutairi, a software engineer who likes understanding things from the ground up and explaining them simply. Have a note or an idea? The contact links are at the bottom of the page.
