Lessons 0 Overview Monitoring with SNMP, modern telemetry and logs, quality of service for voice and video, network automation with Python, Ansible and a source of truth, then a full branch project you build and fail-test. 1 Monitoring the network: SNMP, logs and flows A good network engineer knows about a fault before anyone calls. Here you learn what to measure, how to collect it with SNMP, logs, NetFlow and streaming telemetry, why the wrong clock ruins every investigation, and how to set alert thresholds that do not wear your team out. 2 Quality of service: voice first when the link is busy When a link is busy someone has to wait. QoS decides who: a video call cannot bear delay, a backup can. Here you learn classifying and marking with DSCP, queues, policing and shaping, the limits voice can live with, and how to size bandwidth for your calls. 3 Network automation: a source of truth, templates and checks before change In the junior stage you saw that a network can be run by code. Here you actually build it: the network's data in one place, templates that generate configs, comparing what you want with what is there, checks before and after a change, NETCONF, RESTCONF and YANG models, and how to try it all in a lab before the real network. 4 Project: a branch with no single point of failure You bring everything from this stage together in one network built in your lab: two core switches on an LACP channel, a fixed STP root, an HSRP gateway, DHCP relay, dual stack, two links to two providers over BGP, monitoring and QoS, and a script that generates and checks the configs. Six phases, each with a "done when" condition. 5 Wrap-up and resources The takeaways and glossary of this track.
